Special guest Alex Baker (Post-Punk.com) will join ZIN, a pioneer of Japanese gothic and positive punk (Madame Edwarda / Club Walpurgis), and MYZK, director of Harajuku shop A Store Robot, known for reviving the iconic British punk brand Seditionaries, for a post-punk, gothic, and darkwave night, featuring curated DJ sets that showcase each guest’s unique perspective and experience.

PØRTAL is a collective focused on indie rock, alternative, post-punk, indie sleaze, and underground sounds. We produce DJ parties and a zine to share unique music experiences.
Purple Room is PØRTAL’s regular party, covering indie rock past and present and the underground scene. It’s a free space where PØRTAL’s anthems meet deep cuts. Discover new music and meet new music friends!

LA’s Geneva Jacuzzi to Make First Japan Appearance at Next-Gen Indie DJ Party PØRTAL – Free Tōmi Protein Sweets!
On Monday, November 24, 2025, PØRTAL, an indie DJ party, will take place at Shibuya R Lounge.
The event focuses on indie rock, alternative rock, and the underground music scene, offering a unique space for those seeking new musical experiences. Attendees can look forward to an immersive and inclusive night. Additionally, Geneva Jacuzzi, a leading figure in the US West Coast indie scene from the 2010s to the present, will make her highly anticipated debut performance in Japan.
Guest DJs include Yoichiro Yamazaki, editor-in-chief of Japan’s leading music magazine rockin’on, J Holmes, who was active as the lead singer and songwriter of The Ladderback in the late 1990s and currently performs as FVRMN, along with a diverse lineup of both emerging and veteran DJs.
The event will also feature ENOG SOUP Tōmi Protein Sweets, a nutritious, health-focused treat from Tōmi City in Nagano Prefecture, known for its sports-friendly environment. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample these sweets for free, experiencing their flavor and quality firsthand. Using local ingredients, ENOG SOUP showcases the appeal of Tōmi’s produce alongside the music.
